Purpose of data collection

  • Photos and video


  • Personal data is necessary in order to identify the participants, and to contact them if there is a need to provide crucial information (i.e. revised time or place for assembly), or if we need to contact participants after the compeition (i.e. if a contestant is unable to attend the award ceremony).
  • Photos and video will be made available for use in promoting future competitions, general advertisement for Torucon, as well as to be shared publicly on our website (, and in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, og other possible websites in the future)..

Third parties

Aside from certain exceptions mentioned in the purpose section, Torucon will never share your information with a third party. The information will only be made accessible internally within the organization, and only to persons whose access to this information is necessary (such as the website administrator).

Consenting is voluntary

Consenting to giving us this data is voluntary, and you can withdraw your consent at any point in time. We do however still need some of these data in order to offer the services you gain access to by registering (participation in the activity). If you choose to withdraw you consent to saving and using personal data mentioned in the first statement of the “purpose” section, you will not be able to participate in the activity, and any registration will be deleted.

Editing and erasure of information

You have the right to keep your data up to date, or to have it deleted. This can be done by contacting us via the contact form on our website ( , or by sending us a message via our Facebook page.

How long your data is stored

Your data will be stored until after the activity has ended, and for as long as it is necessary in order to get in touch with contestants after the competition. Afterwards the information will be anonymized or erased.

Photos and video will be saved indefinitely, unless the owner of the data requests to have them edited or deleted.

Right to access

You have a right to access which information we have stored about you, what it is used to and how it is secured (as long as the information can be shared without being a safety risk).

To register your information as a participant in the competition we need your consent, which will be confirmed in the registry form upon registration.

Minors under 15

If you are younger than 15 years of age, we need the permission of your parents or guardians in order to register your data. If you are under 15 years of age, you must have your parents read this text and consent to the agreement.
